After openAI released ChatGPT on Nov 30, 2022, ChatGPT quickly hits 100 million monthly active users in Jan 2023, just took two months (TikTok took 9 months, Instagram took roughly  30 months, Google Translate took roughly 78 months).

ChatGPT would change the world !?

Tech giants announced they will release similar chatbot/AI applications soon or they are currently testing similar projects. And many AI startups and labs are gaining more attention for their technology or new directions.

It’s been a long time since such a big deal happened in this industry, like throwing a pebble into the plain world to create ripples. It’s a ChatGPT Effect.

According to media reports, this e-commerce giant is developing a ChatGPT-style tool which is currently open to employees for testing. Until now, there has been no official formal statement.

Huawei:

Huawei has the largest Chinese language model, PanGU. However, at present, Huawei has not officially announced that they are participating in this race.

Tencent:

According to media reports, Tencent has formed a development team to create a chatbot, "HunyuanAide." However, there has been no official statement yet.

ByteDance:

According to media reports, ByteDance has formed a team to work on a similar model without ByteDance's official statement.

NetEase

NetEase’s game “Justice” announced that there will be an AI NPC in the mobile game on Feb 15, and media described it is ChatGPT-style NPC without an official statement. [Reference]
